Benson Viscometers pride themselves on the support and maintenance of the BV200 or BV1 clinical viscometers.

Our Support

Our software has detailed help screens. The easy-to-follow instructions guide the user through simple and regular maintenance tasks which help to ensure the smooth running of this system. In the unlikely event that the unit requires attention the average user can get the system up and running again in the shortest possible time. There are over 120 pages of help guidance for each product; we are happy to provide our customers with any other specific information upon request.

In addition to the guidance documentation provided within the system software, Benson Viscometers provide the following support:

  • Telephone support – 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.
  • Engineering visit
  • Training of qualified hospital personnel
  • Maintenance Tool kits
  • Replacement parts shipped to site
  • Regular monthly shipments of calibration materials


Calibrants are are used to verify that the viscometer is operating correctly, or to calibrate it. There are 3 calibrants – CHECK, LOW, and HIGH. Benson Viscometers are able to supply a full range of calibrants needed to run the BV200 or BV1 viscometers – this is normally by contract for scheduled monthly deliveries, ensuring they are fresh, and reducing storage needs.
