BV1
- The BV1 clinical viscometer measures the viscosity of biological fluids: blood plasma, blood serum and whole blood
- Test directly from primary blood sample tube with optional through-cap sampling, reducing biohazard risks
- After a Full Blood Count test is completed the residue sample in the tube can be used for Plasma Viscosity analysis, eliminating the requirement for an extra sample
- Accommodates tubes from all leading blood collection tube manufacturers
- Suitable for repeat testing of paediatric and adult samples
- Calibration checks are performed after every 6 patient samples
- Network interface facility (LIMS / LIS)
- Results are displayed to 2 decimal places e.g.1.60 mPa.s reported at 25°C
- Tests performed at 37°C. Can report at either 25°C, room temperature or 37°C
- Operates with data protection and compliance in mind, the BV1 records only the barcode numbers to maintain patient confidentiality
